Making artisan boba drinks and ice cream rolls with a twist here and there. All of our teas, boba, and ice cream are made fresh eryday, all day “luong”. We aren’t afraid of testing new drinks or branching off to other parts of the world for great recipes. What we are not is a Singaporean bubble shop (KOI Thé / KOI Cafe), a restaurant in NYC (Koi), or some other random franchise. We’re a small [but mighty] business.

KOI Café was finally founded in 2006. The focus on quality and the signature heart-warming hospitality were successfully brought overseas with the opening of the first Singapore outlet in 2007.

In 2015, in order better convey our brand philosophy and to nurture tea culture, Ms. Khloé Ma officially changed the brand name to KOI Thé to put an emphasis on tea.

A celebration, a date or just a relaxing break in the day, there is always a reason to get together around a cup of KOI tea. KOI brings joy to the world. What It Takes to Run One

  • Experience in food service, retail, or multi-unit management experience.

  • An understanding and desire to engage with local store management and community involvement.

  • A clear understanding or access to knowledge of the real estate development process.

  • A passion and dedication to operational excellence.

  • The ability to build a high performing team and organization.

  • Adequate capital; requirements vary by market, however the minimum liquid assets of $200,000 and a net worth of $300,000 per unit.

Each Koi Tea franchise owner has the right to initially develop one store for the franchise. The difference between low and high investment levels exists due to labor, location, varying store sizes, build-out costs and expenses, and your experience and management of the store’s development.

Below are the financial requirements to open a Smoothie King in the United States:

  • Endcap or inline location: $200,000 – $500,000

  • Minimum Net Worth (1 Store): $300,000

  • Minimum Liquidity (1 Store): $100,000
